Terms of Participation in the Charity Run Malta 2021 219km Malta Circle Challenge

Registration is possible through completing the following steps:

  1. Fill in the registration form on www.charityrunmalta.com.

  2. Pay the registration fee through the website or based on the details we send you via email following your registration

  3. After we receive your payment we send you a link to our race portal where you need to create an account and link your running watch/fitness tracker application. Once you've linked this, you don't have to do anything else, your activities will be automatically synced with our app.

For an entry to be valid, entrants must complete the registration form on the Charity Run Malta website and pay the entry fee prior to cut-off date of the event. Following this, it is the participant’s responsibility to visit the race portal and complete the linking of their watch/fitness tracker application with the application of the Challenge prior to starting any activity they wish to count against the target of the challenge.

Registering activities to complete the challenge

If you follow the steps above for registration, the activities from your fitness/sport tracker/watch will be synced automatically. Please note that only activities that you do AFTER linking your app with ours will be synced, we do not handle/track activities manually and we do not accept activities manually entered or GPX imported to tracking apps, including for indoor activities.

Breaking down/completing the challenge

Running, Walking, Cycling and even Swimming activities count. You can do as many activities as you like and cumulate your distance against the goal. The only limitation is to finish the challenge i.e. collect enough km by the cut-off date.

The Charity Run Malta 2021 219km Malta Circle Challenge opens on 1 May 2021: participants who have linked their tracker with our race portal before 1 May will have their activities calculated against the race target from this date.

The cut-off date for the Charity Run Malta 2021 219km Malta Circle Challenge is 15 August 2021. Only activities completed AND synced with our race portal automatically count against your challenge target. For walkers and runners we recommend to leave 3 months to deliver this target but you participants can deliver this within any period between the opening and cut-off dates.

Please note that only activities that you do AFTER linking your tracker app with ours will be counted against your challenge target, we do not handle/track activities manually and we do not accept activities manually entered or GPX imported to tracking apps, including for indoor activities.

As part of the registration participants get access to our race portal on which they can always track their progress vs the challenge target.

This is a Solo challenge, which means that each participant should complete the challenge alone.

Supported tracker applications

The up-to date list of supported trackers can be found on our race portal. At the time of closing this document, the following brands are supported: Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Fitbit, Nike+, Adidas running, Coros, MapMyRun/Walk/Ride..., Runkeeper, Rouvy, Healthmate, Decathlon Coach, Tomtom, Movescount (Suunto). Please note that first you have to connect your app and we do not accept activities manually entered or GPX imported to tracking apps, including for indoor activities.

Charitable contributions

Charity Run Malta operates passes on all charitable contributions to the Charity partner of the challenges it organizes. The Charity Partner of the Charity Run Malta 2021 219km Malta Circle Challenge is the Inspire Foundation. The Basic contribution package covers only the cost of technology used, the cost of prizes and logistics only so we encourage to select the Kindhearted or Generous package options - with these all extra you give will be passed on to Charity. We do not keep anything.

Prizes: the Medal

Participants completing the challenge will get a medal to certify their achievement.

Participants applying prior to 10 May you will get a customized medal with their name included. The number of applications may be limited and for those joining the challenge after 10 May the customization of the medal is not available.

Participants in Malta can pick up their medal in person following the cut-off date of the challenge (15 August 2021). The medals can be picked up at the Garmin Malta shop in Gzira. If someone wishes to participate from outside Malta we can post your medal to them, however this can be done at an extra cost. If the participant would like this, they should contact us before they start the registration so we can confirm the shipping costs before they register.

Entrants acknowledge that the entry fee for the space in the challenge and not to ‘purchase’ the challenge medal. The medal is a reward for all completing entrants in the allocated time.

If the distance is not completed within the given timescales, we are unable to store the medal, or send to participants who have not completed the distance within the given timescales.
